科学技術などの先端技術ももちろんかっこいいけれど、たまにはその鎧を降ろして軽やかにおしゃれを楽しむのも素敵。

イエーライト!!の2015秋冬コレクションでは日本らしさが散りばめられている。地方の伝統工芸はもちろん、日本人の得意な重ね着、カッシュクール、世界を驚かせたボロルックを彷彿とさせるディテールなどモダンなジャパニーズスピリッツが通っている。レディースモデルの髪型もちょっと日本髪っぽい気がする…。
なんでも手に入ってしまう現代だからこそ、見えなくなりがちな本質的な生命力が問われているのかもしれない。
そして輝く人はきっとみな生命力、活力がある。

There’s quite a bit of modern “Japonisme” strewn througout Yeah, Right!’s newest collection. Of course, they utilize artisans and their detailed skills in the designs, but along with them are layering techniques, cache-couer (kimono-like wrap), and grandma-chic paired with an hint of Japanese kamigata (hairstyle).
Yeah’s Right’s focus on natural fibers is part of Japan’s culture of comfort-dressing. The knits are heavy in detail but light in touch. That quilted comforter design could be considered an evolution to the well-embraced Pajama look loved by everyone who dares to go there.
In my opinion, this Yeah Right AW 2015 collection is their best to date. The brand has been humming along just under the radar, but manages to command attention with their arresting visuals. This one is just a vestibule to a trove of ideas they’ve put out- here are some jabs at irony from one of their first collections. So, should you watch this brand? Do bears not just want to be comfortable when they do their business in the woods? Yeah.
