クールなストリートとヘリテージの超絶かっこいいミックスを見せたVALENTINOの”上海コレクション”
There are a few “reds” in this world that are ultimates: Dorothy’s ruby slippers, Dita Von Teese’s giant maraschino cherries, the “beni” lipstick paint for geisha, the velvet carpet rolled out for Hollywood’s glitziest…and now, we can add Valentino’s “Shanghai Collection” to that list. It’s redder than RED.
Valentino opened its second-largest store in the world, choosing Shanghai to plant the flag. To celebrate, the brand created a *7th* collection for the year (on top of 2 pret-a-porter, 2 pre- and 2 couture lines); a Shanghai-inspired line built on the many shades of deep red. Red is not only the signature color of Valentino, but it’s also an important celebratory color in Asia and especially China. Valentino is known for it’s image of pristine heritage, where it’s women look like they may have stepped out of an oil painting at the MET. But this Shanghai collection is one helluva street-savvy betch. The fur camouflage and lace x activewear mixes are definitely the best, exuding energy and fashion dominance.
The collection is available in Shanghai now, and rolling out worldwide through April.
