“You’re best dressed! Where’s my photographer?? Can I put you on Facebook??”I felt honored to be called out by Vivienne Tam at her anniversary party tonight at the Mercedes Benz showroom in Roppongi, but its easy to be best dressed when everyone else is wearing your ownsprong/summer 2013 ss clothes that you’ve seen already a million times. See, most designers are always on the search for something new and probably prefer to look at something they *didn’t* design themselves. It’s the nature of the artistic beast! I know it’s ironic, but I feel the same way about my own wardrobe and someone else’s….
Ok, admittedly my dress was pretty awesome. You would never guess from the level of care taken to add the hundreds of painted crystals on vinyl in couture that it would be a sample piece from Shibuya brand EMODA. In fact, it’s from their 2013 ss Touch Me runway show and I was happy to give it a chance to shine (only the black versionwalked the runway! So this never saw the light of day….*sniff*).Of course, the dress was made to be walked in once and not worn all day so I had quite a few fallen crystal emergencies, and trying tobend over was nearly an impossible task. And I wasn’t only at shows, but I showed up to several business meetings and exhibits in this as well. If I`m wearing it once, I`m wearing it all day. No half-assery!
But it’s all in the name of feeling awesome. And I felt awesome in this!

The day finished out at Vivienne Tam’s party, with friends and wine- a perfect ending to a night that had me all wound up after seeing the excellent ANREALAGE show (I still have goosebumps!)
