マレーシア、中国雑誌「NEWTIDE」のファッションエディトリアルをミーシャが担当することになりました！パリで撮ったその第一号のファッションページをご覧ください！
So! I`m a bit late in saying anything, but I`m currently in Paris! I’ve been doing a load of interviews and running around like a tourist who’s dying tomorrow so I don’t have time to get my photos together for a post before I leave for Tokyo tomorrow (so fast!). But instead today I’m talking about the LAST time I was here, which was during fashion week. Actually, during that week I put together a photoshoot (I DONT recommend this!! Hahhhh learned my lesson….anyway….). The photoshoot was for the magazine above, NEWTIDE. And it’s because I am the fashion director for the next 7 issues! Ta-daaaaaaa!!
お知らせするのが遅くなってしまったのですが、今私はパリに来ています！こっちに来てから毎日、山ほどの取材や山積みの原稿と戦っていてなかなかブログを更新出来ずにいたので、こちらは帰国してから落ち着いて書こうと思います(てか明日帰国！早い！) てことで、時間を巻き戻して前回のパリ滞在の時の話。パリコレ期間中、ファッションショーのレポートももちろんですが、別件の撮影も控えていたのでどうせならパリでやっちゃおうってことで、現地でフォトシューティングも企画していたのです（今回スケジュールの関係で止む終えずパリロケを敢行したのですが、慣れない海外ロケはかなり骨の折れる作業なのであまりおすすめしません…特に忙しいパリコレシーズンは！）
そしてこの時撮った写真が、トップに載せた雑誌NEWTIDEに載ったので、このタイミングでお知らせしようと思います！このNEWTIDEでミーシャは、この１２月号７ヶ月に渡りレギュラーファッションエディトリアルを担当することになりました。海外誌でよくあるこのレギュラーページも、主にはフォトグラファーが契約することが多いのでスタイリストとして指名してもらえたのはこの上ない名誉！
So in Paris I took the role of creative director and put together a team that included Paris photographer Gerald Le Van Chau and one of my super good friends and stylist Kosei Matsuda. With Mamitan there to help, a great hair/makeup artist and a kickass Parisian model there, we pulled off an amazing shoot:
今回は私がクリエイティブディレクター、カメラマンはパリベースにGerald le van Chau、そしてスタイリストは友人でもあるKosei Matsuda、アシスタントには我らマミタン、素敵なヘアメイクさんとパリジエンヌのモデルちゃんのチームで撮影を行いファッションエディトリアルを撮影しました。
Ah…there was a lot to deal with during this photoshoot, including nearly getting kicked out of the place we set up at. As you can see it’s so incredible! But being overseas, everything always seems to work out. I love shooting overseas, which come with its own pros and cons. Soon I`ll write about the differences shooting in Tokyo and overseas (There are MANY!). Ok anyway, enough from me…enjoy the photos.
実はこの撮影、私がパリを出発する日にブッキングしてしまったのでかなりの弾丸ロケ、しかも普段慣れていない海外での撮影は色々なハプニングにもみまわれましたが、その裏話と海外ロケの話についてはついては今度話したいと思います。まずはこちらの写真ご覧ください！
And the magazine even profiled me in this issue! It all started with a request for an interview in this issue, and I ended up as fashion editorial director after that. This industry is so interesting in that way….
This magazine is 39 years old and is also the official inflight mag for Malaysian Airlines— exciting!
そして今回はプロフィールとフィーチャーも掲載させていただきました！以前インタビューをして頂いたことを契機に今回の話が決まったのですが、そのインタビューの時はブロガーとして紹介して頂いていたのでまさかのファッションディレクターとして関わらせて頂けるとは思っておらずとにかくビックリ。
この雑誌は現地では３９年余に渡り愛されているラグジュアリーファッションマガジンで、マレーシアエアラインズのファーストクラス用機内誌として採用されているそうです。今回第一回目が掲載されましたが、次のストーリーも続々と待ち構えていますのでこれからの撮影も楽しみにしててください！
