SISTER BOUTIQUE RELEASES COFFEE (OR, APOTHECARY) TABLE BOOK FEATURING ERIKO NAKAO

渋谷SISTERの５周年記念でナカオエリコらによるフォトシューティング写真集などを発売！

One of my favorite stores in Tokyo is “Sister” which sits above CANDY in Shibuya and often mistaken as a sub-branch of that shop. But in actuality, they are totally different stores with separate buying teams and sales people, and very different atmospheres (unless “unique” can be an atmospheric descriptor….if so then they both have it in spades, but in their own ways, alas). Sister has been supplying the silent but deadly romantic-edgy-killer type customer of fashionable girl in Tokyo for a handful of years now, and to celebrate the 5th anniversary they are releasing a book featuring their muse, Eriko Nakao.

This shop is great because it carries both local brands like MURRAL and Sachio Kawasaki alongside Piers Atkinson and Marios Schwab (I bought my Marios jacket there last year!). Then there’s a little boudoir in the back with the best curated selection of vintage and used dresses ever. I know Ziyoovachi’s Avu-chan is a big fan and gets his stage costumes there. Not to mention my gurl Fuyuri Kobayashi works here. The other Sister girls are cool, piercing, witty, and welcoming all at once.

 私にとって東京でも指折りのフェイバリットショップSister。あの有名なCANDYのビルの２階で構えられているこのショップは、同じビルでありながら先のショップとはまた全然違った雰囲気、セレクト、そしてユニークなスタッフ(ユニークなのはCANDYも同じだが)で定評がある。今回このショップが、めでたくオープンから５年を迎えるとのことで記念のアニバーサリーブックが発売された。そこに登場するモデルは、もちろんこの人。ナカオちゃん。

Taken over a series of years, the book encompasses a number of their photo shoots taken for Sister’s seasonal catalogues and using the same creative team-de-force of Eriko, TY and Rie Shiraishi. One of my favorite nail artists, Nagisa of DISCO Nails also works with the team. I haven’t seen inside the book yet but these are some of my favorite shots from past seasons:

 この本には、今までのSisterのシーズンごとのキャンペーンビジュアルを主に掲載している。モデルEriko Nakao、フォトグラファーにTYサン、ヘアにShiraishi Rieさん、そしてネイルには私も普段お世話になっているNagisaを迎えて撮影が行われるこのキャンペーンビジュアルは、またもう一つのこのショップの顔となっている。今までのシーズンで個人的にお気に入りのショットはこちら。

While we’re on the subject of Eriko…she is one of those girls who looks AMAZING in photos but is too cool to give a shit about pursuing a career as a model. If she was 6 feet tall she would have taken over the modeling world, GLOBALLY by now! Move over Cara Delvigne, Charlotte Free…Eriko would have your jobs in a split second. As it stands, she sticks to herself and rocks the office at Chrome Hearts in their business department (I KNOW! Hard to imagine, but she rocks at it). She does agree to model for catalogues for friends:

The book is out from the 15th of December at Sister and online at Faketokyo.com and is 2,100 yen. It includes a CD of local band The Sleepy Heads inside. Also, they are releasing a couple of tote bags for 4,200 yen printed with the design for their anniversary.

 こちらの本と、同じくアニバーサリーアイテムのトートバッグが今月１５日よりSisterの店頭及びFAKE TOKYOのオンラインショップにて販売開始。恐らくSisterのオリジナル商品は毎回すぐに売り切れてしまうので、今回も早めにチェックした方がいいかと思います。
