PSYCHO KILLER COLLECTION IS A SLASHER OF A GOOD TIME. NOZOMI ISHIGURO TAMBOURINE SS 2013 TOYKYO.

ノゾミイシグロによるサイコにキラーなコレクションはGOOD。2013年春夏東京コレクションをレポート！

I wasn’t familiar with Talking Heads’ song “Psycho Killer” before it became the soundtrack and inspiration for Nozomi Ishiguro’s Tambourine show. I actually felt bad when Nozomi asked me if I listened to them. It killed the conversation. Speaking of murder, the first half of this show was about the dark side, and it gave us intricate and calculated slashed up dresses in black and scrawl prints of doodles one might find on the wall of a serial killer’s bedroom. Some of the slashed pieces were like cocoons gone punk and are beautiful pieces of art…and this is supposed to be the casual line!

現実なんて見たくない

張りつめた緊張でリラックスすら出来ない

燃えているベッドで寝ることなんて出来ない

Then the show turned moods and the palette turned brighter. This section was to symbolize going heaven…presumably after receiving the blunt end of a psycho’s rage. Luckily it wasn’t derivative with angel wings, but rather just a flufflier, lighter aesthetic. I have become a true fan of this line, and am happy to see Nozomi giving us a properly designed show with a story rather than just sending mass amounts of clothes down the runway.
