必見！Vマガジンの送るウェブTVシリーズ「MODEL FILES」！普段まじめすぎるファッション業界は実はユーモアたっぷりなバッシングも受けられるんだよ
The fashion industry thrives on the image of perpetual bitchface and feels it should be taken seriously at all times. Some of its antics are very strange to outsiders so its a common target for ridicule (Ab-Fab, The Devil Wears Prada). But these days breaking the rules is always considered cool, and making fun of yourself is the penultimate in Q-points (making fun of yourself while still being INCREDIBLY beautiful, that is).
That’s where V-Files comes in! It’s an online archive of photoshoots, a news site and shop but my favorite corner is an online channel called V-Files TV. They produced several web-series and surprisingly some of them are REALLY good. My favorite? Model Files.
”平和”なファッション業界。日本は特に、とてもシリアスでお互い業界人とからかうこともほとんどなく、ジョークを言わない方がマナーでクール。それに対してアメリカではユーモアあった方がよっぽどクール（ManRepellerという超人気ブログはアイロニーとジョークだけで世界トップになったしね）。今回紹介したいのはそのユーモアたっぷりはいった業界人が制作したウェブシリーズ。ファッション界は非業界人にたたかれることはよくある話だが、身内でいうのは珍しいかも！ここでV-Files TV登場！
V FilesというのはVマガジンによるモードページのオンラインアーカイブ。それ以外はニュース、ショップ、そしてこのTVチャネルのコーナーがある。私はこのチャネルの中で放送中「Model Files」というウェブシリーズにすっかりハマっちゃった。
It follows the adventures of NYC-based model casting director Preston and is dripping with so much satire Vidal Sassoon couldn’t dry it. “It’s like so iconic…I mean, ironic….”. He comes off as kind of a douche in the show, but I met him once and he was super funny and helpful.
主人公のモデルキャスターのプレストンの日々を追うリアリティーTV的なシリーズ。ずべての話はバカのような、アイロニーで業界を半バッシングするが、インテリジェンスもたっぷりあり、とてもクオリティーが高い！プレストンは番組の中では激スノッブなイメージが強いけれど、実は今年NYCのクラブで会ったときは普通に謙虚的で優しかった。MODEL FILESで出てくるシーンの例をあげると・・
