MANAGING TO SPEND MY ENTIRE 20s IN TOKYO AND SURVIVING TO TELL THE TALE.

２０代をすべて東京で過ごした最後の誕生日を迎えました。友達みんなにありがたい気持ちを伝いたいと思います〜

I celebrated my birthday with one of my biggest bashes last week….and the week before….let’s just say it was also the *longest* birthday ever. I have never been one for birthday parties, and my closest friends know that the whole idea of throwing a party my MYSELF is a huge stress and freaks me out. I used to always throw a dinner at a small restaurant in Shimokitazawa but since the gooberment decided to bulldoze those shops over I have been a lost soul in search of a birthday joint. 

私事で恐縮なのですが、先週私の誕生日をお祝いして頂きました。今年は、今までで一番盛大に(というか、長く)祝ってもらったこともあり、あまりに感激したので祝って下さった皆様にお礼に替えてブログ更新です！普段こう見えて(？)自分のことになると一気に消極的になってしまう私なので、毎年誕生日が近づくと頭を悩ませていたのです…友人達は私のバースデーパーティーをお祝いしたいと言ってくれていても、自分の誕生日のパーティーを自分でセットするなんて私にはハードルが高過ぎる！ということで毎年、極めて身内のみのディナーを下北沢の小さなレストランでするのがお決まりだったのですが、いつごろだったかここが無くなってしまい、更に行き場を無くしてしまったのです。

This time I was so lucky to have a party thrown in conjunction with Girls Night Out at LEGA in Roppongi. All of the girls were booked to DJ and friends were already planning on coming out so it was perfect. I want to thank all of my friends who make living in this strange city altogether possible. Because without you, it would be….um….not quite together possible. And thanks to Diego, Fujiko, Annie, Akkun and Mamitan for being especially awesome this night. Here are a bunch of pictures with my mouth wide open. I was a happy girl. MAWR!  

 そんな中、今話題になっていて私も何度か出演させて頂いているパーティー“Girls Night Out”が六本木のクラブLEGAで行われるということで、厚かましくも一緒にお祝いして頂くことになり、忘れられない思いでとなりました！このパーティーを企画してくれたDiegoやFujiko、Annie、Akkun、そして会場で写真を撮って盛り上げてくれたMamitan！本当にありがとう！まるでシンデレラのような気分を味わえました！

Who knows how many years I have left in Tokyo, but these last 8 birthdays have gone by incredibly fast. There’s something about being able to brag that I’ve basically spent the entirety of my formidable 20s in Tokyo. It is my mission to make the best of the rest to come. Much love to all–

２０代最後の誕生日をこんな素晴らしい形で迎えられたことに本当に感謝すると同時に、今までの８年間にも思いを馳せながら感慨深くなってしまいました！笑 あと一年も、悔いの残らないよう全力で走っていきたいと思いますので、皆様これからも温かく見守って頂ければ幸いです。とにかく、皆さん本当にありがとうございました！
