HARCOZA IS POPPING UP IN LAFORET FOR A RARE TEMP. STORE! GET BARBIE SHOE NECKLACES, CUTE BRAIN BROOCHES AND FRENCH FRY EARRINGS!

HARCOZAは代官山を一時ぬけて、ラフォーレでポップアップストアを開催中！ファンキーなセレクトで有名なのは流石：バービーの靴ネックレス、”ブレイン”ブローチ、フライポテトのピアスなど！！

I`m always talking about the friendly “neighborhood” boutique Harcoza, but since it’s out there in quiet little Daikanyama, it’s not so often we all get a chance to stop by. If you were taken in with the shop (and own brand label) “Harcoza” when I showed the spring/summer collection “Akasaka Beat” around the New Year, then it’s going to be a lot easier to get your hands on it. That’s because for about two weeks until the 17th, Harcoza is POPpin’ up at Harajuku’s Laforet. You cannot miss it…. it’s right at the entrance! 

このブログでも何度も登場している東京に構える個性派ショップHARCOZA。ずっと気になってるけど、場所が分からない！と嘆く方も多いかもしれません。確かに代官山という場所柄、誰もが仕事ついでに覗けるという雰囲気ではありません。それでもやっぱり、皆さんに知って欲しい！特に最新作の浅草ビートがカッコいいんだから！と思っていた矢先、ラッキーなニュースが飛び込んできました。なんと期間限定で原宿のラフォーレにポップアップショップをオープンするというのです！原宿ならちょっとした用事のついでにも行きやすいじゃん！みんなHARCOZAの洋服見られるじゃん！

 And before I go on, I must announce that I’ll be standing as a temporary “1-day Manager” at the shop from 1-4pm this Saturday! I`ll be juggling, flipping and doing other tricks. Hah. No, I`ll be trying to assist shoppers and give advice on pieces to pick up. Think of it as your chance to have a personal shopper! Don’t forget—this Sat 1-4pm!

ということで早速お祝いの言葉をかけたら、話が予想外の方向にあれよあれよと進んで行き、なんとこの私が一日店長をやらせて頂くことになりました！日時は今週土曜日、お昼の１時から４時まで！今回の浅草ビートに合わせて人力車の訓練もしていくので(嘘)、是非遊びに来て下さい！皆さんのお買い物をちょっとだけ楽しくする、パーソナルショッパーみたいな感じで出来ればと思います！

The things that make Harcoza so special as a personal brand retail space as well as a select-shop is it’s utterly tireless pursuit of items that are charming in their strangess. I say tireless, but for owner and designer Haruko Okano, she has a special ability to sniff items out and push young designers both locally and from overseas. Check out some of thees accessories!

HARCOZAの大きな特徴といえば、セレクトショップでありながらオリジナルに並々ならぬ力を入れているところと、一見風変わりでありながらタイムレスな可愛いスタイルを貫いているところ。セレクトについても国内、海外問わず一環した世界観の中でこだわり抜いたブランドが揃っています。

I was especially drawn to the two items above by a designer named “Chaho”   

中でも特に見ていてウキウキしてしまったのが、この“チャホ”と名付けられたアイテム。

The original brand, HARCOZA is just as funky, and NYC Parson’s-educated Haruko is serious about keeping her line young and POP but always busts out intricate sewing techniques that make her pieces high-end and purchase-worthy. This is not meant to be thrown away after a season! And luckily, their individuality makes them seasonless. The Akasaka Beat collection for this spring was inspired by the old temple and “market” called Naka-mise Dori” and she used some of that kitsch in her display and fabrics.

 実はニューヨークのパーソンズでデザインを学んでいたというデザイナーのハルコさんの作り出す作品は、若々しくポップでありながら卓越した技術によって製作され、一点物としての価値を最大限に引き出している。つまり、シーズン毎に変わるトレンドとは違い普遍的な価値を持っているということ。今回の浅草ビートは浅草寺やその回りの市場をインスピレーションソースに、それらの景色がキッチュなパターンで可愛らしく生まれ変わっている。

 And this one I shall take it as a challenge to find the perfect situation in which to rock it!

 イラストレーターとのコラボ作品もこのショップの大人気商品の一つ。最近ではプリントのタイツも登場したということで、タイツ好きには堪りません！

The collaboration with illustrator is genius and without it, the shop wouldn’t be half as lively. They even took the creature print and put it on our favorite accessory tese days: tights! They’re brilliant!

 The tree of life is sprouting necklaces made from Barbie shoes! The sneaker one is so funky-fresh–
