ヴィヴィアンウェストウッドは東京特別開催アクセサリーパーティーで永遠のホットさを明確に。
“Vivienne Westwood was the first brand I ever bought!” reminisced Momo as we made our way to the fall/winter accessories and Docomo mobile phone launch party in Tokyo last week. A huge party to celebrate the supposed afterthoughts of a high-end brand line may seem a bit odd, but in Japan the Westwood accessories are as ubiquitous on the streets as orange hair jobs.
It was held at a very statuesque European building with huge colonial columns and the works in Tsunamachi, the first time I had ever even heard of the place. Tokyo is full of these crazy, hidden places..
So it was hard to expect much, there were no big acts coming, no Hollywood celebs, so what was going to be the prize of the night to lull everyone from their work desks out to Azabu? ….go-go dancers!
It was a veritable den of sin, I tell ya. Each room was set up quite fantastically with different acts and outfits to see as models walked throughout the mansion like an impromptu fashion show.

Me, Ellie Rose, and the lovely Sasha in town.
The best thing was this capsule toy machine (called “gacha-gacha” in Japanese…it took me forever to recall what these are in English…) and everyone got a coin to try and get some rad Auntie Viv merchandise.

Shoes, socks, tights, wallets and toys are the bread and butter of Japanese Westwood fans, and it was a blast to see just how many people were dressed head to toe in the brand. I personally was in an Egyptian mood so went with that flow.
I was wearing my new 18cm heel Finsk shoes and just my luck the whole place was covered in carpet! I was like a cat on a telephone wire all night. Congrats to Vivienne on the new collection and the Docomo phone. If you are still on Docomo, now you can feel superior to us iPhone sheep.
