FNO Tokyo 2013 – The Biggest Fashion Block Party of the Year. Calling For Photos !!

It’s that time of the year again, Christmas for the fashion set! Fashion’s Night Out—Tokyo style! So this year it’s actually not happening in NYC but it IS still being held around the world. I don’t know the exact reason for it, but I think it may be because it was a little TOO successful? I guess that the whole of manhattan would spill into the streets all drunk on sparkling wine from the boutiques. Tokyo has never exactly gotten that rowdy.

 

And I`m going to miss it! I`m quite sad about this as it’s like a huge reunion on the streets. Everyone looks fabulous and fine. I have had some good memories… meeting Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, DJing at Roberto Cavalli last year…. I was in NYC the very FIRST year it started and now I`m going to NYC when there isn’t one. Bad luck.

 

再びこの時期がやってきた。クリスマス仕様のファッションセット！”Fashion’s Night Out”！ 東京スタイル！実は今年は NYC ではやっていないけど、まだ世界中で保持されている。私はその正当な理由を知らないけど、私が思うに多分多少あまりにも成功し過ぎている部分があるからじゃないかと。きっとマンハッタンの街全体が、ブティックからのスパークリングワインで酔った人々でストリート中に溢れる。東京の街は未だかつて決してそこまで物騒な雰囲気にはならないから開催OK。

 だけどなんと、今回私はそれを逃してしまう—！それはストリートで開かれる大きな親睦会のようなものだから、それを逃してしまうなんてことがとても悲しい… 。誰もが輝いていて素晴らしくて素敵。私も過去にいくつか素敵な思い出が生まれた。去年は DJ をしていた Roberto Cavalli 。２０１１年は Anna Wintour と Michael Kors に会った。私は FNO が始まった一番最初の年、NYC にいた。そして今、不運なことにまた NYC へ向かっている… 。
