New Japanese dance icons AyaBambi セクシーな風を日本に吹かせているネオアイコンのアヤバンビ！

歩く”かっこいい”アイコン、AyaBambi！彼女たちの勢いは止まることを知らない。

AyaBambi という名前は最近すごくよく聞くようになったよね。実はちょっと前からミーシャもすごく注目してた。彼女たちの全身ブラックに気の強いストリート的なスタイルを、” ネオカラス族” AyaBambi と個人的には呼んでいるし。まだブログでは取り上げたことがなかったけれど、いよいよ日本を代表する女性のファッションアイコンとしての地位が確立したな、と感じてる。さて、その「確立した」とはどういうことかというと…

New Japanese dance icons AyaBambi are bringing sexy back …to fashion.

Now not to be rude, but if you haven’t heard of dancing duo AyaBambi by now then perhaps you’ve been hibernating for the past year. They have been on my radar now for awhile (I call them “neo karasu-zoku” which means “tribe of crows” or people who wear all black) and I think it’s time to designate them as truly new fashion icons to Japanese women and beyond.

彼女たちの”キレキレ”ダンスは、ルミネやメッツ、Y-3なんかでみたことがあるでしょ？そしてとうとう今月号のNumero TOKYO では彼女たちが誌面に。その写真にミーシャの目はぱっと止まった。サトウアヤとバンビの二人組は彼女たちのスタイルであるブラックボディコンのダンス衣装とセクシーなランジェリーをミックスしてドレスアップしていた。スタイリングを担当したのは、Numero TOKYOの編集長である田中杏子さん。全身黒いボディスーツにフェミニンなインナーのミックスはシビアと同時にセンシュアル。こういう対照的な挑戦的ミックスは、時にちぐはぐになってしまっていることもあるけど、これはセクシーだけどいやらしくなくて、「今」と「一歩先」のはやりを反映していると思う。確かに、ここまでクールに出すことは、日本ではなかなか難しいのだろう。「かっこいい」という言葉を耳にすることもこの最近減っていたし。でもいよいよ、復帰させる時がきたのか？つまり、これこそ”新クールファッション”。文字通り、めちゃくちゃクール。

You’ve seen them do their “kirekire” dance in commercials for Lumine, Mets soft drinks , and now Y-3. But what really caught my eye was a fashion spread in Numero Tokyo this month. In it, Aya Sato and Bambi are dressed in a mix of their neo-black body-con dancing costumes and sexy lingerie. Styled by Numero editor-in-chief Ako Tanaka, it’s both sensuous and severe..a mix that is often too polarizing and rare to see in Japan. In other words, this is the new cool. And it is VERY cool! And does it make it any hotter that they are an engaged couple? Hot.

This sort of style would have been unthinkable in “cute is queen” Japan until recently.

このページのスタイリングだけど、意外と参考にできると思った。個人的に、最近90年代スタイルがマイブームで、それは女の子たちがあえてランジェリーの上にコートをさらっと羽織り、パーティに出かけていたスタイリッシュな時代だった。そう言うと、マドンナとゴルチエを思い浮かべる人が多いかもしれないけど、ミーシャはレッドカーペットでスパンクスとローブだけを着て話題になったオルセー姉妹が頭に浮かぶ。意外とカジュアルさ！

AyaBambi の着ている（←この動詞がポイント）ブラジャーやスリップスカートなどのランジェリーアイテムは日本一の下着ブランド、WACOAL のもの。海外でいうと高級下着メーカーのラペルラや、エージェントプロヴォケイターみたいなかっこいいデザインを出しているけど、もっとデイリーに付けられる、見せて着てもかわいいアイテムを作ってると思う。もちろん、クチュールクラスのWACOAL DIAというラインもあって、コレクションによっては８，９点しか作れないというので、すぐに売り切れてしまうらしい。

Numero TOKYO x AyaBambi のコラボを記念に今伊勢丹新宿で期間限定ポップアップショップを開催した。Numero TOKYOのAkoさん, AyaBambi,ファッション通信、そしてヨシロットンがクリエーションに集結。（今日が最終日だということで）、アヤバンビのヴィジュアルやムービーなど、たくさんの展示を見に駆け込んできました。ポップアップショップにならぶ素敵なブラやドレスにすごく興奮した。

WACOAL ポップアップショップで発売した商品は継続して３階でも発売しますが、AyaBambiのビジュアル昨日までで終了です。また、Numero TOKYOでスタイリングの詳細をCHECK。ぜひ足を運んで”新クールファッション”の風を実感してほしい。そして、目を離すことのできないネオアイコン、AyaBambi の活動を期待して応援しよう！

The bras and slips they don are by Japanese lingerie brand Wacoal, the biggest underwear maker in Japan. Imagine the designs of La Perla and Agent Provocateur but meant to be worn under daily clothes-or actually, even over it. Of course, some of the designs are true couture, where the only make 8 or 9 pieces and then it’s gone. For a limited time, Wacoal set up a pop-up shop for this collaboration within Isetan Dept Store Shinjuku, where they enlisted some of the hottest creatives like creative director Yoshirotten to give it a cutting edge. Trying to chase down AyaBambi to see what they’re up to, I ran over there on the last day to check it out (Oops, fashionably late to the party).

Personally, I have recently really getting back into 90s style where it was really common to wear slips and bras under a coat and go to a party. You might think of Madonna and Gaultier in this instance…. but actually I`m imagining the Olsen sisters when they famously wore spanx as dresses on the red carpet.

The pop-up store is over, but all of the lingerie that AyaBambi wears in the spread is still available on the 3rd floor and their pages are in the newest Numero TOKYO. Check it there and join in on the new movement of cool. I`m gonna be keeping my eyes on these girls (not like we can stop looking!).
