クリスチャンルーブタンと世界一「クレイジー」なバーレスクの噴火的なコラボ映画が日本で上映！パリCrazy Horse の『ファイアー』
Crazy Horse is a legend in Paris, but as a burlesque show it may take some guts to…“step” in. Fashion is the art of covering the body, but it can also be just as inspiring when it’s torn away to reveal the body underneath. Christian Louboutin has been designing the shoes for the Crazy Horse show for years now, starting when Dita Von Teese was the special guest. As part of his 20thanniversary, and Crazy Horse’s 60th, he was offered the chance to be creative director of segments of the Le Feu (Fire) show and released a movie to go along with it. That movie is now being released in theaters in Japan in Dec and I got a sneak preview of it.

Despite being around for 60 years, Crazy Horse has been a protected world that one could only experience by stepping into its theater in Paris (the Las Vegas one doesn’t count!). The Louboutin film gives a very up-close look at some great burlesque dancing, with the sets and dancing inspired by the Louboutin shoes.
There are some intense scenes but the passion reaches through the screen… literally, actually, since it’s in 3D.
I was entranced with the “voodoo” act that was colorful, creative, and of course sexy as hell. The scene made in collaboration with David Lynch was also magical. The girls walk en pointe, in sadistic shoes that are from a nightmare.
Afterwards, you may find yourself strutting with a swing in your hips when you leave.
Nothing but heel. ヒールしかない！
After I saw the movie, I was in Paris for fashion week and had the chance to go see it in person. A dream come true!! The dancing was so impeccable, the costumes so spot-on, and the girls’ gaze so mesmerizing you couldn’t avert your eyes even if the building was on fire.
I suggest watching the documentary from 2011 on Crazy Horse to get an introduction to its world. Or, just dive into the fantasy—make sure you go in feet first, of course.
