So I’m going to say something maybe scandalous here: I LOVE reading magazines on my iPad. And only my iPad. Digital magazines for the win, forever and ever, Amen. I have every paper issue of So-En, Numero Tokyo and even GAP Press, HF News, and WWD Japan Mag from the past 5 years and I have NO MORE ROOM! Ever since Vogue Japan went digital it has saved my apartment from going top-heavy in my corner closet and breaking off of my building. With digital, I can reference old mags, create mood boards and re-read old issues at the drop of a hat because I always have my iPhone and/or iPad with me anyway. MORE digital mags, please!
And why do I say this? Because I just finished reading a magazine from Hearst Publishing UK on my iPad called “Company”, which has the funky stylings of NYLON but a little bit more mature for working 20-year-old women in the UK….
…and I was reading it because Tokyo plays a huge part in its main feature!! They asked 9 of their favorite bloggers around the world to introduce their city with shops, restaurants, parties, and personal style. So I happily obliged, and even got DROP TOKYO to provide photos so Tokyo would rise above the rest.
And, how awesome is it, WE MADE THE COVER!
Tokyo is still awesome…despite 9 other cool global cities like Berlin and Buenos Aires, they decided Tokyo had the most punch so they opened the feature with our great city and gave it two pages! 祝！

I`m super happy with it—- I got to talk about the best 2 chome parties, shops like CANDY, XANADU, Kitakore and Avantgarde and doing picnics in Yoyogi Park. Life is awesome.
For the USA city they chose Seattle to feature…oooh…. my hometown…. you can see why I choose to live in Tokyo, comparatively though (sorry, Seattlites).
I love all of the illustrations throughout the mag…I wholeheartedly support more fashion illustrations in magazines!
You can read the whole magazine here in Japan (or anywhere else) on iPhone or iPad too for only 250 yen (!!) if you’re interested. Get it here. Other cities they feature include Moscow, Antwerp, Stockholm, Mumbai and Istanbul which will give you a good idea of each cities’ current style character (Buenos Aires is where I want to go next, judging by colorful pics).
