バタフライ効果というのは、小さな変化がやがて大きな変化を生むという現象の事。ユニクロのスウェットパンツの変わりに幾重にもプリーツの織られたビオネの銀色ビンテージドレスを纏って郵便局に出かけたら、次の週に来るモルディブのハリケーンを阻止できるかもしれない!?

そんな現象はここにもほら。”ジュエリー”と名付けられたこの、紙で出来たように見えるアクセサリー。紙は紙でも和紙でできているからすごく丈夫。もともと男性のために存在していた和紙が女性の手にかかるとこんな風にジュエリーとして生まれ変わったのだ。他にも溶けていくチョコレートのデザインや、針金のように見えるデザインもあるのでチェックしてみて！

The butterfly effect tells us that one small move in one place has a huge effect somewhere else down the line. So if I wear a thousand-pleated Vionnet vintage dress in liquid silver instead of my purple Uniqlo sweatpants to the post-office will I prevent a hurricane in the Maldives next week?

There’s at least one effect going on here, and that’s the illusionist “jewelry” I`m wearing, which looks like paper because it is. Created by a local ingenue here in Japan, it’s made out of super special tough paper (which the Japanese are especially adept at creating, since washi paper has been in existence for eons). Check out some of their other designs like melting chocolate, and one that looks like a lattice web.
