大阪発ロギーケイのデジタルプリント初挑戦はモードなトロピカル地平線をムーディに展開。秋冬2013年
It seems like many Japanese brands try as best they can to show how organic they are, and it heavily influences the entire high-end industry’s aesthetics. By organic, I mean “one with nature”. ie big, loose silhouettes, natural colors, linens, and simple patterns not offensive to mother nature. Roggykei is one of the few Japanese brands that eschews kissing her butt and instead goes in-organic with strong silhouettes, futurism, darkness and geometry in total fashion inebriation.
The newest collection, titled New Horizon II is now out for viewing pleasure and it should please me to share it:
最近のファッションは、という書き出しには抵抗があるのだが、
大阪を拠点に活動するRoggykeiから届いた新作“New Horizon Ⅱ”は、
You can see the knit/organdy mix that Roggykei likes to play with for the New Horizon series. The prints are a new arena for them, and honestly it sort of came out of left field. But the styling is so beautifully done and it really makes me look at the collection as a child of the retro past rather than the future which is where I usually put my mind when reviewing Roggykei.
今回のコレクションの特徴としてはニット素材とオーガンジーの異
I visited the Roggykei atelier/shop while in Osaka last week and caught sight of the whole thing. The clothing was fun to touch and inspect up close, like the metallics and the digital prints. But what Roggykei excels at is accessories. Their bangles are out of this world, the necklaces are terrifyingly cool and the bags will make throw a tantrum til you get them. Clutches are their forte, especially the vinyl ones. The square leather clutch is so great its worthy of an altar gift to the gods. BOTH of them!
Get them online, at XANADU in Tokyo, and they show during Paris Fashion Week as well so look them up–
