The brand fur fur has one of it’s popular shops in Laforet harajuku, so they always have their show up on the top floor during fashion week. This one was set up as an installation, with weathered cabin tables and chairs collecting piles of wilted flowers on top of them. The clothes were “kinari” with natural wrinkles and other imprecations left alone. This kinari is a characteristic of the mori girl (forest girl) style that fur fur has been propping up for 11 years now.
The looks may appear fussy and difficult to decipher, but when put on the rack you see they are much more simpler; this is an example of extreme Japanese “layer” technique that I think is unique to Japan and the best in the world! I hear the models actually styled themselves for this show, then had some stylists create the head pieces on-the-spot?!
last year, fur fur also started making one-of-a-kind wedding dresses for loyal customers…I would love to see a photo of a fur fur bride!
